Meet the artist
Brooke Ansley is a budding Georgia-based artist and creator. Though she’s made art in some form since she could hold a crayon, her speciality is fiber arts, primarily macrame and weaving – both of which she picked up in early 2020 – and embroidery which she’s done since 2018. She also enjoys hand-lettering, painting, and just about any other medium she can get her hands on.
In August 2021, Brooke’s fiber art piece Pterra placed second in a regional art contest at the Monroe Walton Center for the Arts, and in January 2022, her piece Adenium placed first in the MWCA’s annual members’ show. Her work has been for sale in a local shop since early 2021, expanding into a second location the same year. Brooke has also participated as a vendor at numerous events, from art and craft shows to store grand openings.
With an appreciation for all things lovely and peaceful, Brooke draws inspiration from nature, whimsical scenes and stories, and any experience that makes her feel small (in a good way). Her faith and family keep her moving forward and remind her that there is always beauty to be found and created.
